Transforming Walks into Words

Transcript

“Hello, my name is Woodzy and I was part of the Crawley Stories project.  During this project, it was incredible to do the walk and the talk with Patience through Crawley and then to be able to take that conversation away and to actually turn it into a piece of poetry.

It was such a beautiful experience to be part of and from the conversations that I had with Patience, it was really easy to be able to turn that into poetry itself. The way I did it is just taking parts of the conversation that I felt really reflected nicely when we were walking through Crawley. And I put those into poetry form, made a poem out of it. And then I took that poem after writing it on my phone and typed it up actually on an old school typewriter. And then was able to gift that to Patience on the day of the event of the launch of the podcast.

It was an incredible experience and then to be actually able to perform it live, as well as gifting the poem itself was an incredible experience and one that I will never ever forget. Thank you so much for having me on the project.

Peace out, Peace in.”

To Patience What a pleasure it’s been to make your acquaintance Doing this project with you has been like a walk in the park Or should I say a walk to the park From the captivating conversations to the pauses to take in the sounds of nature
