Our Team

Romana is currently the Head of Creative Engagement and Designated Safeguarding Lead at Kiln Theatre, overseeing a wide-reaching programme of participatory work for children, young people and communities across Brent and North West London. Romana's previous role was Deputy Director of Open Court at the Royal Court Theatre, where she initiated and delivered a breadth of youth, communities and schools programmes for seven years. Previously, Romana has worked in Creative Engagement for The Old Vic, The Arcola Theatre, The Bush Theatre and Shakespeare's Schools Festival. Romana is Chair of the London Theatre Consortium's Creative Learning group, Co- Chair of the Drama & Theatre Education Alliance and co- founder of RinD (Representation in Drama), an LTC initiative which aims to address systemic imbalances in KS3, GCSE and A level drama and supports intersectional inclusive work happening in UK schools, exam boards, theatres and theatre companies.
