David Lane

David Luff is a producer and creative director and is passionate about new diverse and innovative theatre.

David began his producing career at the Arcola Theatre before forming his independent production company. He joined Soho Theatre as a producer and was promoted to Creative Director in 2019. He has worked with unique and brilliant artists around the globe in over 50 venues across four continents.

Notable productions he produced for Soho Theatre include the world premieres of Touch and The One by Vicky Jones and new shows from Kim Noble and Lucy McCormick. Alongside DryWrite he produced the revivals and world tours of Fleabag by Phoebe Waller-Bridge and its New York and West End transfers.

With his regular producing partner Patrick Myles he commissioned and produced the world premiere of Network by Lee Hall, from Paddy Chayefsky’s film, directed by Ivo van Hove. Network premiered at the National Theatre in 2017 before transferring to the Belsaco Theatre on Broadway, winning Olivier and Tony Awards for its leading actor, Bryan Cranston.

He has also produced independent productions at the Young Vic, Hampstead Theatre, Bush Theatre and tours throughout the UK, USA, South Korea, India, Australia, and the Middle East.
