‘How I created my artwork’ Transcript

“Hi, my name's Karl Singporewala. And I'm an artist and architect from Crawley West Sussex. So I was taken by Max and Theatre Centre around Tilgate Park, and the resulting artwork that was created looked at the forest and symbolised some of the conversations we had while walking around the lake. And it got me to realise just how spoilt we are having Tilgate Park on our doorsteps. So I wrote some words down as well, that sort of captures for me how important Tilgate Park actually is to Crawley. It’s called The Lungs of Crawley.

A place of laughter.

A place of silence.

A place to play.

 A place to rest.

A place we go to remember.

A place we go to forget.

A place we go to breathe.”
